We believe that everyone know how to makea moussaka.
I will tell you a little more creative way of stacking a moussaka:)
Ingredients:
- 4 zucchini
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 eggplants
- 4 potatoes
- 4 tomatoes
- 600 gr. minced meat (lamb, pork and beef)
- Little butter and olive oil
- 2 handful of grated cheese
- 3 eggs
- Little bit of yogurt
- Salt, black pepper, cumin and chili powder
Preparation:
Step 1:Slice the vegetables on circles.
Grease the round pan with butter and cut the zucchini into strips with knife for peeling. Place the strips into the pan.
Step 2: In a frying pan put a little olive oil and butter and allow it to heat, then add the minced meat to fry.
Step 3: In a saucepan fry the finely chopped onion, one grated carrot, and two finely chopped cloves of garlic. After it gets mild red, add the minced meat and 3-4 tablespoons of ketchup. Season it with chili powder, salt, black pepper and a little cumin. Remove the pan from the heat and leave it a little bit to the side to cool off and add the grated cheese. Stir so that the meat and cheese are combined.
Step 4: Arrange the meat over the zucchini and sprinkle a handful of grated cheese over it. On a wooden board arrange the vegetables in small towers, and then arrange the meat as a snail and cover the pan with aluminum foil.
Step 5:Cook it in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes, then for another 40 minutes without foil. Then pour over the moussaka with three eggs whipped with a little yogurt, salt and pepper. Put back the moussaka in the oven to cook it for another 10 minutes without foil. After that, the moussaka is ready.
TIP: The amount of vegetables that you use for the top layer of the moussaka depends on the size of the vegetable pieces!
