It is difficult to imagine how the song “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry would sound like if it is performed by the heavy metal band Iron Maiden or Nirvana, as if it came from the mouth of Frank Sinatra or Michael Jackson.
But the talented vocalist Anthony Vincent has managed to make a cover of it in as much as 20 different music styles! His project on YouTube is called “Ten Second Songs” – for each new genre, he devotes only 10 seconds, very skillfully switching from metal band Metallica to opera singer Luciano Pavarotti.
Despite the fact that the video was recorded at home, he became very popular and gained more than a 13 million views on YouTube.
“The idea came in November last year” – says Anthony. “Originally, I wanted to choose “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, but then I heard “Dark Horse” and thought, “That’s it.” The video had one million views on YouTube in less than a week.
The end result while using many styles is really well done, for no other video went so much viral in that short time!
