- Herbs and foods that might help
Fortunately, in nature there are herbs that can help us relieve the inflammation of the sinuses. These include: garlic, oranges, cayenne pepper, onion, nettle, horseradish.
Although foods like garlic, horseradish and cayenne pepper might be a bit difficult to consume since they are extremely hot, exactly their hotness is what dissolves and eliminates mucus.
Oranges are full with vitamin C which is crucial to your immune system, while nettle relieves symptoms of inflamed sinuses, including itching of the nose and eye irritation. When taken as a tea, this magical herb encourages the work of the immune system that will effectively fight your sinus infection.
- Grapefruit seed extract
Grapefruit and especially the seeds of it are well known as being one of the most powerful natural antibiotics. It’s needless to say any more 🙂
- Neti pot
Take 2 cups of warm water and dissolve one teaspoon in it. Stand over the sink, fill the neti pot with one cup of the mixture and place the tip of the spout into one nostril. Tilt your head to the side and allow the water to run out through your opposite nostril. Be careful not to tilt your head back or the water will go down your throat. Repeat this procedure with the other nostril as well.
- Apple cider vinegar
As soon as you notice the infection mix 1-2 tsps of raw apple cider vinegar in 6 oz water and one tsp of raw honey. Drink the mixture 3 times a day for 5 consecutive days. The apple cider vinegar will help you thin the congested mucus, so it can be easily eliminated.
GOOD LUCK WITH CURING YOUR SINUS INFECTION. ALSO DON’T FORGET TO SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES. THEY MIGHT BE GRATEFUL TO YOU ONE DAY!
