Preparing for a work trip may be both exhilarating and perplexing.
You don’t want to leave anything behind, but you don’t want to overpack either.
When packing for a business trip, make sure you have all of the necessary essentials to make a good first impression.
Our business travel packing list will ensure that you have covered all bases!
Consider what you can mix and match when it comes to packing your clothes. Many companies sell females’ matching outfits that may be mixed and matched, such as blazer jackets with matchingskirts, slacks, and dresses. Choose a multi-tasking jacket for men and make sure your pants, shirts, and ties are all in the same color family.
Dark colors are preferred for pants and coats to cover spillage.
The majority of people overpack this area. Make your ensembles revolve around a single pair of shoes (at most two).
It’s easy to go crazy with flats, heels, and boots, especially if you’re a woman. However, be practical.
Pack your shoes in the same way you pack your shirts to match one color of bra. If your trip will include both day and night activities, it’s a good idea to bring a pair of flats and a pair of heels,
but try to be practical. Shoes occupy a significant amount of room in your bag.
Don’t overdo it with the accessories you bring. Most likely, you already have everything you need in your laptop bag. Pack your laptop or tablet (but not both!) as well as the necessary charger.
Don’t forget to bring a phone charger. A power bank is also a useful item to include in your bag to charge your devices while you’re out. Always keep a pen (or two) and a tiny notepad or notebook in your bag. Bring a few business cards with you on your trip (unless you are going to a networking event, then pack more).
